A dream for many hikers of every kind!  Everest Base Camp lives up to its reputation as being one of the best treks in the world.  This is the closest you can get to Everest short of climbing it.  With her sister peaks in view from the base camp and KalaPattar, there is no doubt that this a dream come true for many avid hikers.  Along the way, you will enjoy the life of a teahouse trekker - a comfortable bed each night with three meals a day all included in the tour price.  Finally, this trek gets you acquainted with the sherpa culture and their way of life as you immerse yourself in the spirituality of the region.

Kathmandu - Lukla (2800 m) - Phakding (2652 m)

Phakding - Namche Bazaar (3440 m)

Namche Bazaar: Acclimatization Day


DAY 6

Namche Bazzar -Tengboche (3867 m)


DAY 7

Tengboche - Pheriche-(4470 m)


DAY 8

Pheriche rest day

Pheriche - Lobuche (4930 m)

Lobuche - Gorakshep (5170 m); side trip to KalaPattar (5554 m)

Gorakshep-Everest Base Camp (5364 m)

​TREK STYLE

This trek is STRENUOUS given the high altitude, the freezing temperatures and the likelihood of snow as you get higher in elevation.  The highest point is KalaPattar at 5554 meters.  You must be physically fit, in good health, and preferably with recent backpacking/hiking experience.  For a detailed daily itinerary on the trail, please see Everest Base Camp Trek Summary.

NOTE: Consulting with your doctor prior to joining the trip is recommended.  It is highly suggested that you familiarize yourself with the hazards and risks of high altitude trekking.   A completed & signed Liability Waiver form and travel insurance to cover 100% trip cost, emergency medical and evacuation are REQUIRED to join this trip.  After completing your trip booking and deposit, you will be required to purchase the required travel insurance by the trip balance due date.  Failure to obtain adequate travel insurance will result in cancellation of your booking and loss of trip deposit.

PRICE:   $2175 (Deluxe)
Single supplement: $350

Deluxe accommodation means 3 start hotel on a shared basis with private bathroom in Kathmandu.  On the trek, you'll be staying in rooms with attached bathrooms. 

This is a higher level of accommodation compared to the standard packages that most agencies offer.
 

Balance is due 45 days prior to departure.

FLIGHTS:
International flights are excluded.  Clients must book their own flights and send a copy of their flight itinerary by e-mail to bgtrekker@peakexplorations.com no later than the trip balance due date.

TRAVEL INSURANCE REQUIRED:
After making a deposit, you are required to obtain appropriate travel insurance through Travel Guard or other insurance of your choice that should cover at a minimum 100% of the trip cost (land & air), emergency medical and evacuation for high altitude trekking of up to 6000 meters.  Proof of travel insurance must be provided via electronic mail to bgtrekker@peakexplorations.com no later than the trip balance due date.  Failure to obtain travel insurance by the trip balance due date will result in cancellation and no refund of your trip deposit and/or applicable cancellation fees as noted in the Terms & Conditions.

Note: If you opt to buy your insurance from a company other than Travel Guard, please ensure that the insurance you purchase covers high altitude trekking as there are only a select number of companies that provide such type of coverage.

VISA:

Please check ahead of time as to the visa requirements for the country of your choosing.  You are responsible for securing your own visa, if required.
